Access to clean, safe water is a basic human right — yet many households in Maganzo Ward and surrounding areas still struggle with this fundamental need. We are proud to announce the launch of our Clean Water Access project, which will benefit over 2,000 households.
The project focuses on three key activities:
1. **Establishing Water User Groups** – Community-led governance structures that manage water resources sustainably
2. **Infrastructure Improvement** – Repairing and upgrading existing water points, and installing new boreholes where needed
3. **WASH Education** – Training communities on water, sanitation, and hygiene practices to prevent waterborne diseases
We are working closely with the Kishapu District Council and community leaders to ensure the project meets local needs and that communities take ownership of the infrastructure for long-term sustainability.
"When our community has clean water, everything changes — children's health improves, women spend less time fetching water and more time in productive activities," said a community elder who participated in the project launch.
The project is expected to be fully operational by mid-2026.
